Ingredients in Relaxium Sleep

L-tryptophan

L-tryptophan is an ingredient in Relaxium and is an essential amino acid that the body cannot produce on its own. It must be obtained through diet or through supplements. L-tryptophan plays a role in the production of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that is involved in mood, appetite, and sleep.

Supplemental forms of L-tryptophan are sometimes used as a natural treatment for insomnia and other sleep disorders, as well as anxiety and depression. It is also found in some foods, such as turkey, chicken, milk, cheese, and tofu.

There is some evidence to suggest that L-tryptophan may be effective in improving sleep quality, but the research is by no means conclusive.

Melatonin

Melatonin is an ingredient in Relaxium and is also the most popular stand-alone sleep supplement. Melatonin is actually a hormone that is produced by the pineal gland in the brain. It plays a role in regulating the body's natural sleep-wake cycle. Melatonin is released in response to darkness and helps to promote sleep.

Supplemental forms of melatonin are sometimes used as a natural treatment for insomnia and other sleep disorders. It is also found in some foods, such as cherries, almonds, and bananas.

There is some evidence to suggest that melatonin supplements may be effective in improving sleep quality and helping with jet lag, but there is limited evidence about it’s long-term safety. Long-term safety concerns include reducing the body’s own ability to produce melatonin, thereby creating dependence.

CBT-I: A Long-Term Sleep Solution with No Ingredients

Many people choose natural treatments to boost health and improve sleep. However, Relaxium Sleep has not been well studied, and its safety and effectiveness aren’t yet understood.

Cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) is a natural, side effect-free insomnia treatment. It involves relearning your sleep habits and addressing issues that are getting in the way of quality sleep. Studies show that CBT-I works as well as or better than sleep medications and has effects that last even after the treatment is done.1

Fill out Dawn Health’s questionnaire to get started with CBT-I right from your computer — no in-person visits necessary. Quality, natural sleep is possible when you embark on a CBT-I treatment journey.
